IndieVelo - DIRTy FriYay Crit Time - Pen 1

Jeff has a knack for matching courses and race formats. This was a Team Points race on South Lake Loop. At about 12 laps it is as close as we have to a crit course on the platform so far.

Jeff, and Ludvig were the humans on the DIRT squad. I jumped into the indieVelo Founders team in case any other humans were there when I was sure my regular teammates weren't racing. No luck. But I had good luck with the bots filling up my squad at least.

Jeff and Ludvig are much stronger riders than me so my goal was third place behind them and second the team I was with.

12:00 - Bots start attacking the peloton
14:00 - Jeff, Rob, and Niko the bot have a tiny gap on the field
17:45 - Rob's bot teammate Juan bridges up to the lead group
18:45 - Ludvig bridges then pushes ahead with Jeff with 2.5 km to the 2nd sprint
20:45 - 1 km to go to the sprint. Jeff and Ludvig have a 2-man breakaway up ahead
23:45 - Settling in with 7.5 km to the next sprint point. Three humans in the front group of five.
31:00 - DIRT attacks with 2.2 km to go to sprint point number three
32:30 - 1 km to go before the third sprint point
34:45 - Regrouping with Jeff and Ludvig in the lead group of five
37:30 - My bot teammate attacks the lead group! Jeff covers it.
40:45 - With 1 km to go to sprint 4 Jeff and Ludvig are up ahead with my bot teammate
41:45 - I make a mental mistake ... mistook the last sprint for the race finish 🤦‍♂️ Embarrassing to watch 😂
