MKATE WA MAYAI

Let's Spend some time and chill. Mishakiki and Mkate wa Mayai. In Mombasa, our mkate wa mayai is quite simply whereby in Tanzania and Zanzibar they call it mkate wa nyama and they always add a twist to it, by adding cheese and mayonnaise., interesting combination i must say.

Preparation time: 30Min
Serving 6-10

Ingredients
660 gm Ground beef
1 Tsp Salt ( add salt as desired)
1Tsp Cumin

2 Royco beef cubes
1/2 Cup water
6gm Ginger
6gm Garlic
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 Lime

30gm Coriander
1 Pkt Rice paper
1 Pkt Samosa wraps
1/4 Cup Oil in total ( i used 1 Tbsp to fry the minced meat and 1/2 Tbsp to fry each mkate wa mayai)
7 Eggs



TIP
PLEASE ask the butcher to grind the minced meat very fine for you.
With the rice paper you don’t need an egg to seal it.
Pan Fry on medium high heat.
