DEAD MALL - Carnation City Mall - The Last Walk (Closed) | ERA_Productions

Hello everyone, welcome to the long gone Carnation City Mall in Alliance Ohio on its final day of operation. This mall originally open in 1983 to serve the Alliance region. Original anchors consisted of JCPenney, Kmart, and Carlisle’s. Carlisle would change into quite a few different stores before eventually landing on its final tenant, Sofa Store. Kmart would close in 2000 and get replaced by an Elder Beerman. a comfort hotel would be added onto the back of the mall in 1988. by the 2000s, Carnation city mall would start struggling as better competition in Canton would take away from Carnation City Mall occupancy. elder Bierman would close in 2018 due to bankruptcy, and Sofa Store would also close in 2020 along with JCPenney. on August 31, 2022, Carnation City Mall, Would lock its doors for the last time for redevelopment. Dunham’s sports has since relocated into the former JCPenney, and the rest of the mall has been demolished for a new Meijer store and a small strip plaza. Let’s take one last walk through the Carnation City Mall on its final day of operation!
