Choon Kee Roasted Delights: Savour the Craft of Mastery

Choon Kee stall is a hidden gem in the heart of the city at Golden Mile, and it's all thanks to the dedication of Mr Koh, a humble roast master who has been in the line selling roast meat for 35 years. His signatures - roast duck, Char Siu and Sio Bak - are well-loved by many.

The preparation starts as early as 5am, with every dish being meticulously crafted and cooked manually. The result? Incredibly smoky duck with crispy skin, beautifully caramelised Char Siu, and super crunchy Sio Bak. No wonder the dishes are always wiped out within 3 hours of opening.

As for the secret recipe? Well, there isn't one. According to Mr Koh, all it takes is the control of temperature and following the procedure step by step.

Keep an eye out for the opening hours, though. Mr Koh takes life easy and opens his stall only for 4 days a week. So, plan your visit accordingly and savour the delicious roast meat!
