Gran Turismo 3 - How To Choose The Prize Car You Win From A Championship

This is an awesome trick in the game you can use after you win a championship event to choose which of the 4 prize cars you want to take home. In order for this to work it obviously has to be a championship event and you have to choose the championship format to where you do all 5 or 10 races in a row depending on the championship you've chosen or 7 if you're doing the "Dream Car Championship" in the Amateur or Professional League and a points system is in place awarding the highest finishing drivers with the most points each race, the points system is as follows.

1st - 10 points
2nd - 6 points
3rd - 4 points
4th - 3 points
5th - 2 points
6th - 1 point
DNF - 0 points

Make sure you're winning each race so that you can build up a minimum of a 4 point lead on 2nd place each race, this way you can save the game before the final race and just quit out of it to which you'll automatically get last but still have enough points to win the championship. If it's a 10 race championship, you may even be able to skip the final 2-3 races if you win the first 7-8 in a row. Once you win the championship, you get your bonus cash award, then you win a prize car which is when your on the red screen. All 4 cars are blacked out so you can't see what it is (you just have to know what it is) with a black circle with the GT logo flashing under each of them then 3 of them disappears and 1 of them is randomly chosen and is shown now in full color revealing your prize car. Well there's a way to very easily manipulate that system to play it in your favor and choose which of the 4 cars you want. When that black circle flashes under the car you want, hit "X." Time it right and the car you want is yours, misjudge your timing and get something else then just reload & repeat. This is why it's important to save before the last race cause if you forget to and then don't get the car you want then you gotta start all over again. Although still possible, this trick doesn't work too well in endurance races. You could still get the car you want but you can't save near the end of an endurance race so you only get one shot at it and if you get the wrong car then your screwed. Unless your willing to take the time to keep trying again & again.
