Flyer One Zero and... Spad.neXt + Stream Deck

Описание к видео Flyer One Zero and... Spad.neXt + Stream Deck

In my last video I mentioned I was planning on making some content about how to use an Elgato Stream Deck to control the sim via Spad.neXt. This is that video. Consider this a basic introduction to using a Stream Deck with Spad.neXt, and for more advanced scenarios, check out Les O'Reilly's channel (link below).

I had bad microphonics from the cable of my headset for some reason on this video... not sure why, but attempts to filter them out with Premiere Pro did not work. I will make sure to resolve this for next time!

00:00 - Intro
01:09 - What is a Stream Deck?
03:02 - Spad.neXt clashes with Elgato software
06:33 - Stream Deck controls within Spad.neXt
08:02 - Programming the Stream Deck buttons
13:21 - An example button - text and colours
17:53 - Changing text labels on events
19:31 - Example button - images
21:44 - Last example - animating images

----------------------

I make videos about building and operating a flight simulator. The videos here cover a wide range of topics within flight simulation but especially how to build and maintain a sim, including constructing your own equipment, sim software setup and software development for simulators. I also film full flights in the sim.

Currently, the simulator consists of a home-built partial cockpit structure with a large TV for a display. This is a temporary setup that I will use while I build a completely new sim in my back bedroom.

I'm not a professional pilot and I make a lot of mistakes, but I have a lot of fun and if you're interested in aviation and in particular home cockpit building, you could do a lot worse than subscribe!

----------------------

Temporary simulator specs are:

Main PC: Core i9 13900K 13th-gen CPU / 32 GB RAM / 4TB NVMe storage / GTX 4090 / Win11 Pro / SPAD.Next etc

The console has: 2 touch-screen monitors, an OpenCockpits 737 MCP v2, PFC yoke, Saitek switch panel and either an Emuteq G1000 set or an additional 2 touch screens used to display the G3000 avionics.

The home-built pedestal includes interchangeable throttle panels with either a custom Throttletek A320-style quadrant for jets or a VirtualFly TQ6+ throttle quadrant for flying piston engine and turbojet aircraft.
