Prayer

Father God,

We come before You standing at the edge. The shore behind us feels safe—familiar ground where we know what to expect, where our feet are steady, where the waves can't reach us. But You are calling us forward. You are whispering over the wind and the water, "Come."

Lord, we confess that we are afraid. The unknown stretches out before us, vast and deep, and we cannot see where the next step will land. Our hearts race with questions: What if I fail? What if I sink? What if this is too much for me?

But You remind us gently: it was never about what we could handle. It was always about who holds us.

So today, we choose to step out. Not because we're brave enough, but because You are faithful enough. Not because we see the path, but because we see the One who walks on the water and calls our name.

We thank You that Your grace abounds in the deepest waters—not just at the shore, not just in the shallows, but in the very places where our strength runs out and Yours begins. In the moments when fear surrounds us and our feet fail, Your sovereign hand reaches down and guides us.

We declare that You have never failed. Not once. Not in thousands of years of Your faithfulness. And You will not start now. Not with us. Not today.

Spirit, lead us where our trust has no borders. Take us deeper than our feet could ever wander. Past the fear, past the doubt, past every lie that tells us we're not enough. Lead us into the mystery of Your presence, where faith is made stronger not by what we understand, but by who we encounter.

In the crashing waves, be our peace. In the overwhelming deep, be our anchor. In the moments when we start to sink, be the hand that reaches down and pulls us up.

We fix our eyes on You—above the waves, above the fear, above the storm. And we rest. Not because the storm has stopped, but because we are held by the One who commands it.

For we are Yours. And You will never let us go.
