This video will show how to manually retract the electric parking brake on a Toyota RAV4 from your models 2019 through 2024. Using only common tools. This will allow you to change out the rear brake pads by allowing you to retract the piston all the way back.

You must first, put the vehicle in neutral and disengage the parking brake by pushing the parking brake button on the center console. This will release the parking brake which will allow you to remove the brake caliper.

Once the process is finished, parking brake with automatically reset itself to the proper position after restarting vehicle and pressing the parking brake button.
