Father Reed takes us to Saint Peter's Square. Piazza San Pietro was designed by Bernini under the direction of Pope Alexander VII to allow as many people as possible to see papal blessings. It is surrounded by a grand colonnade with oversized statues of saints and in the center is an obelisk from the Circus of Nero.
