WHILL Model Ci: Operating

[The WHILL Model Ci is discontinued, However, we do have the WHILL Model C2, F & Ri. The Model C2 is the new and improved Model Ci.]

Hi, I would like to show you the basics of operating the Model Ci.

Let’s start with entering and driving.

Before entering and operating the Model Ci, make sure the device is powered off.

To enter the Model Ci, pull up on the arm lever and rotate the arm backwards. The footplate also flips up for easier front entrance.

Once comfortably seated, turn on the device by slowly pressing the power button until the display lights up.

The display shows the speed setting as well as the battery level from 0-100%

Next, choose from one of the four available speed settings. To toggle between speeds, simply press the UP and DOWN buttons.

To drive the Model Ci, gently push the controller in the direction you want to move. For example, push forward to move forward and push to the right to turn right.

Before exiting the Model Ci, remember to turn off the device.

The Model Ci also has an app that allows you to drive the device remotely, securely lock it, adjust speed settings, and access important device information such as range and battery health.

In the event you need to move the Model Ci manually, put the Model Ci into freewheel mode. To do so, disengage the brakes by pushing down on the two red brake levers located next to the right and left rear wheels.

You are now free to move the Model Ci without power.

Please note, the brake levers must be engaged to power on and operate the device.

Charging the Model Ci battery is easy using a standard wall outlet, and it can be charged while on or off the device.

To charge the battery while attached to the device, first ensure the device is turned off. Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet and plug the 4-pin connector to the charger port located at the top of the battery. Charging starts when the charger lamp flashes green. The battery is fully charged once the charger lamp turns a solid green.

To charge the battery off the device, remove the battery from the compartment and follow the charging steps mentioned previously.

For your convenience, you can check the battery level while its disconnected from the device. Simply press the battery check button located on the side of the battery.

The Model Ci includes a USB port located just under the seat assembly to charge your mobile devices on the go.
