By means of the wrong spell, Bibi and Sheba find themselves in ancient China with the wise witch Ping. She doesn’t know what to do as the Emperor and his wife have been kidnapped and their child Tutu is suffering from a strange sleeping sickness. The power-mad superior minister Chanchu intends to have himself crowned as the new Emperor the next day. But Bibi and Sheba find out that he has kidnapped the Emperor and that he is also responsible for Tutu’s sleeping sickness. Together with the witch Ping, they are able to free the royal couple and wake up their child. Chanchu gets the punishment he deserves.
