See how to flush the brakes on a motorcycle in this video from Partzilla.com.

A couple of notes here: First, you need to cover everything painted on your bike before you go messing around with brake fluid. It will do a number on your paint. Get some plastic and make sure everything is covered. Second, check below for two different brake flush systems-- one that pulls the fluid out from the caliper and one that pulls the fluid from the top at the reservoir.

We’re working on a Yamaha Raider here, and when we changed the front brake pads on this machine we saw a LOT of water in the brake fluid reservoir and the fluid just looked bad. Instead of a healthy light caramel color, this stuff looked more like Coke. So it’s coming out.

The Raider has two calipers in the front-- one on either side-- so we’ll do this twice to make sure we completely clear the system. When we’re done, we’ll top off the system, and we’ll top the level to the higher end of the range since we just replaced the brake pads. If you have worn pads, top off your fluid to the lower end of the accepted range on your machine. Otherwise, when you DO change the pads and you push that fluid back up into the system, there won’t be enough room for it in the reservoir.

Then, we’ll move to the back, where we have one caliper and the Yamaha rear brake fluid reservoir is located under the seat..

You can do this manually by just pumping the brakes and releasing the fluid a little at a time down at the caliper, but these compressed-air-driven brake flush systems save you a TON of time.
