In this video from Partzilla.com, we’ll show you how to replace the spark plugs on a Yamaha Raider.

A quick note here as you’re getting into this job: changing the air filter on your Yamaha Raider requires the exact same process to get access to the air filter box, so you might consider replacing the air filter at the same time you replace your spark plugs. Like the air filter, replacing the spark plugs on the Yamaha Raider requires the removal of the fuel tank. John will walk you through that process. We’ll remove the seat, then we’ll remove the instrument cluster, and then we’ll get into removing the fuel tank on the Raider. Good idea for you to get that tank empty one way or another before you remove it. Either run it dry or drain it, because it’s heavy when it’s loaded up with gas.

Once we dig down to the spark plugs, we’ll remove all four. One is tricky to get to, but John will show you how. We recommend an 18mm spark plug socket with a rubber insert to hold the spark plug as you’re getting it in place. And when you replace them, the torque on the spark plugs on your Raider is 13 foot-pounds.
