Official Launch of LCP-NKTI Lung Transplant Program 01/23/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the official launching of the Lung Transplant Program of the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) on January 23, 2024.

A collaboration between the LCP and NKTI, the Lung Transplant Program is a significant milestone in improving healthcare services in the Philippines as it will provide access to life-saving treatments for lung transplant patients in the country. 

The Lung Center of the Philippines and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute were both established through Presidential Decrees in 1981 signed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.  They serve as specialized medical centers to address specific health concerns in the Filipino population.
