This video explores the development of coordination for true strength and power. Being strong in isolated muscle groups is not enough: you must be able to use those muscles in a coordinated manner in order to exert real strength and power.

To achieve this, the body must overcome Nicolai Bernstein's "Degrees of Freedom Problem" to learn the most optimum solution to any movement problem. This may result in changes to the fascia and our neural efficiency. It must take into account the senses to form the preceptual motor landscape: information coming in through the senses.

Dynamical systems theory describes this as the body "self-organizing" around the goal, organism, and environment. It is not enough to think of movements as independent from the setting or intention.

In short: repeating the precise same movements over and over to create highly efficient neural networks for perfect execution. But to ensure these movements are ALSO adaptable to be applied to real-world challenges, the athlete/individual should also practice variations. They must practice "repetition without repetition."
