If you make it through this class, you get to enjoy a beautiful rainstorm during Savasana. This class had several interruptions while filming, so when I mention moving to splits pose, be aware that there are no splits in this practice!

Begin your practice with the pranayama - 3 part yogic breathing - while you open the hips and inner thighs in reclined butterfly.

Right away, get right into the hips with hip compressions, hamstring stretches and twists, while the howler monkeys talk in the background.

After stretching the spine in cats and cows, strengthen your core in spinal balance before moving into a deep quad stretch in swan pose. Stretch the side of the body, all the way from shoulders, ribs to hip, leg and ankle in one side bend.

Give your toes and ankles the deepest stretch possible with toes pose and ankle stretch. Open three legged do will open the front of the hip before warming up in half splits pose.

Continue to strengthen the core with high plank rocks and cobra pose. Build strength in the legs in chair pose while stretching the backs of the legs in a number of forward folds.

*See if you can spot the outfit change! Ha ha

Crescent lunge dips and warrior two and prayer squat all build leg strength while opening the hips at the same time. Balance in airplane, tree, staff and more. Stretch the legs in seated stretches before happy baby.

Enjoy the rainstorm that comes at the end. Yes, I promised splits pose that were skipped! The rainstorm should make up for it. Namaste.
