Rasiya Muthia Recipe
🌾 Discover the delightful flavors of Rasiya Muthiya, a beloved Gujarati dish that transforms leftover rice into a culinary masterpiece! Rasiya Muthiya is prepared by combining cooked rice with a medley of spices, herbs, and gram flour, which is then shaped into dumplings. These dumplings are typically cooked in buttermilk and with delicious tadka.
Ingredients :
For Muthia:-
1/2 cup Cooked Rice
Grated Bottle Gourd, Cabbage & Carrot (Dudhi, Patta Gobi & Gajar)
Finely chopped Coriander
Crushed Green Chillies & Ginger
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
2 tsp Coriander Cumin Seeds Powder (Dhaniya Jeera Powder)
2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Salt as per taste
1 cup Besan
1 small spoon Oil
For Chaas :-
2 cup Buttermilk (Chaas)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Salt as per taste
For Tadka:-
2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
2 Dried Red Chillies
Few Curry Leaves
Red Chilli Powder (to sprinkle)
1 tsp Sugar (optional)
Method :
In a mixing bowl take 1/2 cup Cooked Rice
Add grated Dudhi, Patta Gobi & Gajar
Add some finely chopped Coriander
Add crushed Green Chillies & Ginger
Add 1 tsp Haldi
Add 2 tsp Dhaniya Jeera Powder
Add 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
(You can add spices as per your choice)
Add Salt as per taste and mix it well
Further add 1 cup Besan
Add 1 small spoon Oil
Combine everything well together
Further take 2 cup Buttermilk in a big vessel
Add 1/2 tsp Haldi
Add Salt as per taste
Let it boil and keep stirring on slow to medium heat
Apply Oil on hands and start dropping muthia in the vessel one by one
Let muthia cook nicely and come on the surface
Further for tadka, heat 2 tsp Oil in a pan
Add 1 tsp Rai, 1 tsp Jeera and pinch of Hing
Add 2 Dried Red Chillies
Add few Curry Leaves
Sprinkle some Red Chilli Powder
Add 1 tsp Sugar (optional)
Take Rasiya Muthia in a serving bowl
Garnish with some fresh Coriander
Enjoy Scrumptious Rasiya Muthia hot
