BMW 540i E39 `02 w M62TU 4.4 engine pt.1 VANOS, timing chains, guides, remove new parts view

Description: Pt.1 `02 BMW 540i E39 M62TU engine. Steps for BMW VVT Vanos remove (Brace yourself) , timing chains and guides, tensioner remove. At the start of the problem, there was a hissing sound coming from the head cover. 200 miles or so the rattling sound followed. A result of 129,000 miles, and a worn out tensioner plunger spring resulted in timing chain slack. This hammered the plastic material lining the reversing rail guide and the pieces ended up in the head, the oil pan, and the oil pump sump. Some other items to replace while in there are, the valley pan under the intake, the oil separator (pcv) located on the back of the intake, the water pump & T-stat assembly. I used a minimum of 9 special tools absolutely needed to complete this project. Also suggested is a new radiator, which this one was newer. This video is a complete one from start to finish on doing the chains etc. as a comprehensive video from start to finish. And a video of all of it just isn't around. And this job takes several days to be thorough, imo.
