Ingredients:

- 2 glasses of basmati rice
- 4 glasses of water
- 1/2 kg fresh peas
- 1/2 cup ghee or oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt, to taste

Instructions:

1. Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 1 hour. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat ghee or oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
4. Add water, cover, and cook for 1 minute. Then, add peas, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, and all spices. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add water, bring to a boil, and cook until the peas are tender.
6. Add the soaked rice, and simmer over high heat for 8-10 minutes, until bubbles form. Cover and cook until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
7. Fluff the pulao with a fork. If desired, add lemon juice and garam masala.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
9. ⁠Serve with zeera raita.
