How to get through divorce emotionally, as a man:

We all know that women file more often than men, which sets them up to be further along in the process of grieving and moving on. But there is more to it than that.

The blame game from your ex wife, societal messaging and regret itself all make it harder to get through divorce if you're a man.

All of those influences add up to a loss of identity. This is why the emotions of a man going through divorce can get in the way of him healing and moving on. Because those emotions are about more than the feelings themselves, they are symptoms of an underlying loss of identity.
