Diddy Kong Racing marked a moment. With gaming entering a fresh generation with a whole new dimension in tow, it was time to bring the Kong name to the Nintendo 64. But Rare did not open the gates for Donkey Kong with a platformer, but instead brought the simian sidekick Diddy Kong and his team of friends and rivals to kart racing in 3D.
