Cleveland Weather: Will storms return to Northeast Ohio amid heatwave?

An area of high pressure is set up off the East Coast and it is not going to budge much this week. With this setup, we will continue to tap into very hot and humid air.

Mainly p.m. showers and storms will be possible for the next few days. Some of those storms could be strong to severe. There could be a brief break in the heat with those showers, but the humidity will remain oppressive and any cooling will be short lived.

Otherwise, heat indices will make a run towards the century mark every afternoon. You will want to avoid any strenuous outdoor activities between the hours of noon-8 p.m. Plan to find shade and take frequent breaks if you have to be outside. And stay hydrated!! Check in on neighbors to make sure everyone stays cool and safe during this heat wave.
