Steep climb to start but great to get lovely views after yesterday's thick cloud and zero visibility. Long flat walk over the moors to Blakey Ridge but lots of Curlews, Grouse and Lapwings to keep me entertained. More moors to follow, and a visit to Fat Betty, but easy, pleasant walking and some scenic views.
Had a quick visit to the stepping stones at Egton Bridge as I was passing. I was going well today and felt fit so I continued on after Grosmont and tackled the steep climb out, walking as far as the footpath that heads across the moor to Littlebeck. This would save me tackling it first thing the following day.
Great weather today, warm and sunny.
