Dr Reid Oliver's Story - ATWT - Part 63

[I'm caught up!!!! HOORAY!]
There are a few things I'd have put GOOD money on never ever seeing in this soap (and THAT is saying something seeing as ATWT is the soap that brings, DAILY, the most random, dramatic and ridiculous storylines known to man. It's why we love it, right?!?!? hahaha!) BUT a few really do happen in this part and ... wow is it WEIRD!

First of all, Noah is the one who gets Reid and Luke together. Kind of. HAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT?!
Dear Writers,
I keep writing letters to you and in my first I told you to keep taking whatever you were taking because it was all fabulous and wonderful, then in my second letter I asked to lay off your crazy pills as you were getting a little out of hand....now, I seriously think you need to get your heads checked.

It's great to see Noah so willing to do that and I am SO grateful for them writing the "what should i do?" ... "i can't answer that for you" exchange. SO Luke (insensitive) and the writers showing Noah isn't all sweetness and sainthood. It'd be so unrealistic if he was!

Ahaaaa Bob and Reid. Reid speaks to the sky so much. HAHA it always makes me laugh and he's done it from the beginning ;)
GOD he's so snappy in this. It's like he's just past caring as he's getting OUT.... ouch - "thanks for nothing chief" ....HA! AND DON'T YOU JUST ADORE BOB'S 'awww i can't help but find him funny' smile He just knows Reid's not serious ;)

Right, onto the scene that is ANOTHER one of those things I'd never have thought we'd EVER see.
Reid has his THINGS....his beer, his food/sandwiches, his cuddling cushion, chess, his scrubs (*swoons endlessly and shakes fists at soap gods for depriving us!*) etc.

NEVER....and I repeat, NEVER did I expect Reid's next "thing" to be a teddy bear. It's so cute and ridiculous it's funny!!!
Of course it's a parallel and nice little nod to him obviously going to miss surgery and it highlights his caring nature...plus it shows how he's obviously a bit unhinged right now....he's a little bit of a mess hugs Reid
Still, a TEDDY BEAR!
Is he going to have a blankie soon?
When he went to the fridge- anyone else hear the beer bottles clanking?! HAHAHAHAH oh Reid :)

Right, let me get this out. HE STROKES THE TEDDY'S HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think me n'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww could be heard for miles around. SO unbelievably adorable it hurt!
Yes, the teddy was a little odd, yes it made comments about Reid's state of mind and his 'underneath' self but that head stroke was just the icing on the cake!!!

Also, one thing I've noticed (and so have others) ... how many damn phones does Reid have?! He's using his "phoneberry" today. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh ATWT, your insanity knows no bounds. As if I don't laugh enough when you say USTube or Gregg's List, you hit us with that little gem :P

I understand Reid's actions, I understand his upset and I GET that he took a risk that terrified him and went against everything that he knows and understands leaving him wondering why he bothered....but he needs to just STOP walkin away and presuming things. It's Reid though, he has absolutely and categorically NO idea what he's doing in these situations and it's plain for us to see how much he IS 'crawling out of his skin' ....

Luke's face at the endwas so pitiful and frustrated. It's SOOOOO nice to see him WANTING Reid. It took long enough for him to get there and realise and be able to c on it etc.... now it's here, Reid's the one putting up all of the barriers. It wouldn't be ATWT if it wasn't infuriaing though..... :P
(we'll not mention Noah's heart broken face.... all of the drama's yet to come and we'll no doubt have plenty of it so it's safe to say it's a foreshadowing of sorts, I suppose! Right now I'm focusing on Reid and LUKE and Reid's life crisis!)

Well, we shall see what happens next but I, for one, am really enjoying all of the intense angst because FINALLY it's all created from these frustrated feelings they have. It's heart achingly romantic and so I can't wait for more of that and then hopefully some happy time .... but, again, this IS ATWT.
We can always go back and watch the teddy bear head stroke on a constant repeat. You with me? Yes? Ok good ;)

PS: How amazing is Eric's hair? I had my shameless Van swooning last part and the auburn curls are all KINDS of gorgeous :D
