On Prime Time, Ravish Kumar talks to activist Bezwada Wilson who presents startling facts that reflect the apathy shown towards sanitation workers by the state governments as well as the Centre. Mr Wilson says that states have yet to take concrete measures or import technology so that manually cleaning of sewer lines can be avoided. "If 33,681 crore rupees have been spent in the last four years on rural Swaccha India campaign alone, why isn't enough money being spent for rehabilitating those who are engaged in cleaning sewers?
