In Chapter Four Tigger and Roo go out for the day to play and along the way Tigger boasts to Roo about all the wonderful feats he can perform. He can fly better than Owl, he can jump better than Kanga and can swim better than Roo however, in truth, the only thing he is really confident that he can do is to climb trees better than Winnie-the-Pooh.
As they approach one of the tallest trees in the Forest Roo challenges Tigger to climb it. Tigger instructs Roo to climb on his back so they can both go up together. Unfortunately, we soon discover that Tigger’s confidence is merely bravado and he eventually gets to a point where he can no longer climb up or down and discovers he is completely stuck.
Fortunately, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Christopher Robin all arrive to save the day by stretching Christopher Robin’s coat out between them allowing Roo and Tigger to jump to safety.
