Texas – Fox Trot (Guion)

Earl Fuller’s Rector Novelty Orchestra

78 rpm record

Johnson & Shirley (American Dance Bands on Records and Film 1915 – 1942) provide the following personnel:

Instrumentation and personnel unknown. New York, June 3, 1918.

I can hear xylophone(s), saxophone(s), trumpet(s), and a number of other instruments. I have to say that this group, in my arrogant opinion, sounds SO much more interesting and musical than his “Famous Jazz Band” group which recorded for Victor and Edison.

Here’s some information on the composer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_W...
and some information on Earl Fuller: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Fu...

This is a “re-posting” of an earlier video of this recording which I deleted. The deleted video was from an older recording of one of my records which I could not get to sound better. This is a much better "excellent" copy of this 12-inch 78 rpm record which I bought more recently, and I think I brought out some of the instruments better by using Vinyl Studio Software.
