How to Build a DIY 12S8P Molicell P42a Battery for BIG POWAH!!

In this video, I build a massive 12s8p battery using Molicell P42A 21700 cells, using the best methods I know of. Also in this video, I included extra footage at the end with the rest of the BMS wiring and charge port wiring, since some people requested this. Now, some of you will have seen my 20s8p battery on Instagram or Facebook, which I am even more proud of than this one. As a battery builder, you learn a little bit more every time you build one, and it's part of the process.

Overall, this pack came out really clean, and I'm sure it will put down a couple thousand miles before being retired in a few years.

Anyways, this pack uses 12awg series connections in sets of three, which should easily be capable of 200a continuous. However, with a normal dual VESC, you're never hitting those numbers. The main reason to overbuild a pack like this is just in case someone down the line wants to do 4wd, and usually, it's just good practice to build to the capabilities of the cells, rather than the draw of the expected ESC. This is not really advice to apply to every single pack, but it's what I usually start with for electric skateboard packs.

Normally, I try to encase my packs in heatshrink for extra protection and a clean look, however, in the flux enclosure, there wasn't really enough room to cleanly heatshrink this pack. As you'll see, I tried to do it, but there just wasn't enough room, and it squeezed the cells weird.
