How To Build a Compact 10s4p 18650 Electric Skateboard Battery (DIY Tutorial)

In this video, I build another DIY electric skateboard battery, using Samsung 30q cells, wide nickel strips, and an interesting compact layout. I did my best to be as detailed as possible and show all of the important steps, including safety tips and closeups.

This 10s4p layout was restricted by the enclosure that this battery is going into, it is quite small and has a different kind of shape compared to the battery enclosures that I've built for in the past. That being said, this battery is not very hard to make overall, just takes some attention to detail and extra care.

Please be aware that lithium batteries are / can be dangerous if mishandled. Do not attempt this tutorial if you do not think it is within your capabilities. Instead, check out one of our trusted battery builders here:
