Ingredients -
For balls -
2 medium size boiled and grated potatoes
100gram grated paneer
100 gram grated processed cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
Fresh coriander
2 tbsp corn flour
For gravy -
4 chopped tomatoes
2 chopped onions
1 tbsp cashews
1 tbsp melon seeds
1 inch chopped ginger
5-6 garlic cloves
2 green chilis
1 tsp jeera
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp Salt
Method-
For gravy -
Heat a tbsp. oil, crackle cumin seeds, add bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Add garlic, ginger, onions, green chilis and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add cashews, melon seeds and cook, add tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and add ½ cup of water, give a stir, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Uncover and switch off the flame, uncover and allow to cool. Transfer in a mixer jar, grind in a smooth paste. Keep aside.
For balls, mix grated potatoes, cheese, paneer, salt, black pepper powder, fresh coriander, corn flour in a vessel. Mix nicely. Prepare small lemon size balls from the dough with greased hands.
Coat them with dry cornflour and deep fry them in hot oil on high flame.
Keep them aside or you can serve them with ketchup too.
Heat one tbsp. oil in a wok, add kasoori methi, red chili powder and prepared gravy, add water, mix and cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes, add butter, sugar, salt, fresh cream/malai and cook on low flame 2 minutes, add fried balls and fresh coriander, mix and serve hot.
