హిందూ మతంలో పరిపూర్ణత్వానికి ప్రాధాన్యత ఉంటుంది. అందుకే నాటి ముస్లిం పాలకులు హిందూ ఆలయాల్లోని శిల్పాలలో ఒక్కో భాగం తొలగించి ప్రతీ శిల్పాన్ని అసంపూర్ణంగా మిగిల్చేవారు.ఈ విషయాన్ని మీరు తెలంగాణలోని ములుగు జిల్లాల్లో ఉన్న రామప్ప ఆలయంలో చూడవచ్చు. 13వ శతాబ్దంలో అల్లా ఉద్దీన్ ఖిల్జీ సైన్యాధ్యక్షుడు మానిక్ కాఫుల్ ఈ ఆలయంలో శిల్పాలను ఇలా డ్యామేజ్ చేశాడు.
