Design Thinking Explained in 6 Steps

Описание к видео Design Thinking Explained in 6 Steps

The Design process, at least as we teach the process, includes 6 steps: empathize, define the point of view, ideate, prototype, test, and deploy.

Our process adds the sixth step of deployment, making our model slightly different from others. The reason we include deployment as part of our model is to ensure that the innovative ideas that are created through the Design process are executed.

Empathize – Establish empathy for the customer and understand the customer’s experience through ethnographic research.

Define Point of View – Gain clarity on what is essential to the customer and what motivates them to do what they do.

Ideate – Generate a list of solutions that will solve the customer’s problem and help them achieve their goal.

Prototype – Create a working solution through trial and error experiments.

Testing – Collect feedback and input from customers and operators to increase confidence and buy-in for the solution.

Deploy – Develop a plan to support the successful implementation of the solution.
