If God were to give you money, wealth, a beautiful wife, and all the pleasures of life, would you experience true happiness? Is that what happiness really is? This story comes from Indresh Ji’s discourse. Lord Krishna says, “Arjun, even if a person were to attain immense happiness, they would eventually grow tired of it." This means that happiness is not our ultimate destiny. Our true destiny is peace, and peace can only be achieved through one thing—renunciation. Krishna says, "Tyaga shanti anantaram"—meaning, renunciation leads to eternal peace. If you desire peace, you must renounce the fruits of your actions. This is also stated in Chapter 5, Verse 12 of the Bhagavad Gita:

युक्तः कर्मफलं त्यक्त्वा शांतिमाप्नोति नैष्ठिकिम्
अयुक्तः कामकारेण फले सक्तो निबध्यते !

This means that a person who practices karma yoga, renouncing all the fruits of their actions to God, attains eternal peace. On the other hand, those who are driven by desires and personal gain become bound by attachments, as they perform actions while being attached to the outcomes.
