I Forgot What The Mainland Was Really Like (as a local from Hawaii)

I recently had the opportunity to go to the mainland for a work trip (which was amazing), but while I was there, I was reminded of the culture shock that many local people feel when they go away. I hadn't felt that since moving to Colorado back in college. However, it was good to experience that feeling and so I wanted to share how I felt being a local in an unfamiliar scene.
