Join Stick Mobility certified coach, Chanon Finley, as she guides you through her spiral line strength and stretch workout.

This 50 minute Stick Mobility workout features joint mobilization, strength training, and active stretching. The focus of this class is working the spiral lines of the body. The spiral line is a complex of muscles that loop around the body in a helix shape, starting at the base of the skull, moving across the upper back to opposite shoulders, then around the ribs to cross the front of the body at the navel around to the hips. These muscles are essential for rotational movement.

These Stick Mobility exercises incorporate rotational and anti-rotational movements to strengthen and stretch the muscles that make up the spiral line. Much of the work today is about controlled movement and single leg stability and balance.

We will use the entire Stick Mobility bundle (2 long sticks and 1 shorter stick) a well as a wall and an anchor point on the wall (the corner). I also recommend a bolster, towel, or cushion for your knees as we will be in a half kneeling position for some exercises.

As always, go at your own pace. If you need rest or water, take a break. You can also perform fewer repetitions than I am in the video if you'd rather not pause. This will also give you great awareness on where you are so when you come back and do the video again, you can see your progress!
