Atina Mccrary Pegram was born and raised in Beirut Lebanon, her family moved to Maryland when she was 12, until she started her undergraduate studies in TV Broadcasting at OSU which propelled her into a career in news. Atina reported in Oklahoma and Amarillo for many years. A change in career led her to Dallas, where she had her first Bikram yoga class in 1999. Atina immediately fell in love with the benefits and practiced every single day until she went to Bikram’s Teacher Training in September of 200, less than 2 weeks after the 9/11 attacks. Atina has served Dallas with Bikram yoga since 2001– teaching literally thousands of classes, and held space for thousands of practitioners– Atina is the longest standing Bikram yoga teacher in Dallas, and her cult following at PURE Yoga Dallas proves it!
