How we "Un-winterize" Our 2022 Keystone Montana

In this video we share the steps we take to "un-winterize" our RV. We've been 5th wheel owners since 2003. Over all those years we have come up with a set of steps that we follow to get our RV ready to use for the "camping season".
The video demonstrates all the steps we take to get the water system ready to use again. These steps include:
- Cleaning the scale out of the water heater storage tank. (We also clean the scale out when we drain the tank to winterize, but you will be amazed at home much more scale comes out during the "spring" cleaning.)
- Check the anode rod, add new thread tape, reinsert and tighten so the anode rod is snug, but not overtightened.
- Fill the water heater
- Fill all the lines in the RV and purge all the air - including the ice maker supply line to the residential refrigerator.
- Sanitize, by adding water to the fresh water storage tank and also adding a small amount of chlorine bleach. (We have also used liquid pool chlorine but it's about double the strength of household bleach so measure accordingly!!)
- Using the water pump, circulate some of the chlorinated water solution into all the water lines in the RV. We let this sit for at least 24 hours before we drain the fresh water tank and run fresh water through the lines again.
- Turn on the electric and gas (propane) to make sure the water heater is functioning.
- CHECK FOR LEAKS under cabinets and under the RV itself.
