Strange that is buried so deep out here

At least two feet down in the ground mixed in with old bricks beside this old cellar hole is a chunk of big shiny.....something? hmmmm odd. We are metal detecting relic hunting this old 1700s cellar and digging up artifacts. Lots of history at a NH place like this and we are doing what we can to clean the site up. Old buttons, tools and other odd bits coming out of the ground. But the mystery thing is still a mystery thing and we could not get it to move at all.
