Craft Ideas: David and Goliath

The story of David and Goliath is often a favorite among kids, and with good reason. More than just being a celebration of underdog victory, though, it reminds us that God fights for us. With His help, anything is possible. These crafts recall the story in fun ways. A “Can’t Miss Slingshot” honors David’s weapon of choice. A “Bag of Remembrance Rocks” highlights how our weapon is faith in God. Let’s get crafty!

Kristin is a servant of Christ who is blessed to currently be serving as Directory of Christian Education at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO. Originally a California native, Kristin has a master's in teaching from Biola University, as well as a master's in theology and a DCE certificate from Concordia Irvine. She spent several years in Georgia before being called to Colorado. She is overjoyed to be the mother of Samuel and wife of Colten, who also serves full-time at Risen Savior as Worship Director. In addition to enjoying her dream vocation, she also loves running, baking, music, history, and strong coffee.
