Started in 1940s and still running successfully. Has its own set of brand customers who have been visiting hotel since decades. Usali misol and poori baji is most popular dishes says the hotel owner. The legacy it carries, makes this hotel truly iconic.

We visited this famous hotel in Hubli called Suvarna Mandira and tasted poori and Usali misol which were amazing. What amused us is the authentic vintage look of the hotel and the kitchen. The ambiance reminds one of Malgudi days. Right from the fans to fridge to the utensils are over 80 years old. The staff is very welcoming and warm. 80 year old eatery which is predominantly run by generations of Prakash Bhat’s family is talk of the town in Hubli. It is mandatory to visit this hotel and try the food if you are around Durgad Bail area.
