The Body

This has an excellent body shape with an extraordinary colour paint work. All doors open, as well as the bonnet and also the boot. Firstly, the paintwork. On examining the model, there was observed to have no faults of any sort in regards to the paintworks. I much like the paint colour which can be had in several colour schemes. But it's the strip that's on the bonnet and boot that allows you to know that this is the Monaro Series. There are only a few decals. They have been placed in the exact places similar to the actual vehicle. The front grill displayed only a GTS badge again to indicate the series of vehicles. The lighting both front and rear have been nicely with the rear lights recessed into the bumper. The mag wheel rims give it that sports look and the red stripe around the tire fits the wheels nicely. This model has had a lot of chrome parts, like around the window, door handles, window wipers and mirrors, which makes this model such a collector’s one.

The Interior
Both the front doors open reasonably wide. Because of how these are fitted, is how wide they can open. When looking at the door panels, the only parts that stand out are the window wipers. The rest of the parts that one would see in the actual vehicles are imprinted in the plastic panel. With the interior in black, makes identification hard to distinguish. Looking at the seats, again the black colour makes looking at it hard, and only by holding it up to the light can you see it for what it should be. When light is introduced, you can see the seats are as normal for this scale. The instrument section of the centre console is well done with the instruments readable and the switches, and for the lights seeable. The steering wheel again in black shows details such as the horn in the centre as well as the indicators. But the interior is just that bit better than other models of this scale.

The Engine

indicates the engine was assembled separately and then added to the vehicle. This is therefore a vehicle that shows more detail, which makes it that much more interesting.

The Undercarriage

The underneath of the model shows the attention to detail that the top sections of the model. Even though many collectors display their models, the underneath of the vehicles is rarely seen. The sump of the engine can be seen as part of the engine, with the detail continuing with the gearbox. The working suspension is the exact copy of the real vehicle with the wheels attached to the steering, so you can use the steering wheel to operate the wheels. The detailed driveshaft with the exhaust system is impressive as well as the petrol tank details.

The Boot / Trunk

The boot opens with good detail within. You have the spare tyre, as well as the tyre tools included.

The Conclusion

The overall impression of this model is good. Nicely done in the paintwork and placement of the decals, this is a good representation of the actual vehicle. But its engine makes this model and will be its selling point. This is one model that collectors would like and with the COA with its limited with its limited number built, makes an excellent addition to any collection.
