The Trans Cambrian Way - Day 1

The Trans Cambrian Way (TCW) is a 106 mile, 14,000ft route across the oldest mountain range in Europe. The ride across Wales is mostly off road with the odd quiet lane to give your rear a bit of respite. Although people do complete the TCW on gravel bikes a mountain bike is arguably more appropriate due to some quite rough technical sections and prolonged loose descents. Day 1 starts at Knighton station (LD7 1DY) and finishes in Rhayadar where there is plenty of accommodation available if you don't fancy carrying all your camping gear.
