★～わりに★
for; despite; although; in comparison; compared to, relatively

～わりに（は）is used when you want to say "more than what one expected; rather, fairly, relatively, comparatively"

same as～と思えないくらい / ～とは不釣り合いに

Verb-casual + わりに
いadj + わりに
なadj + なわりに
Noun + のわりに

While のに is often used in both positive and negative situations, ～わりに has only positive connotations. It indicates pleasant surprise that “despite” or “considering” certain conditions, the outcome or result is better than expected.

100円均一のものは安いのに、品質がいいです。
100円均一のものは安いわりに、品質がいいです。

Considering that the items at 100 yen shops are cheap, the quality is quite good.
Cheap prices typically mean cheap quality. but this assumption for the 100-yen shop is incorrect – the quality is actually quite good!

私のおばあちゃん83歳なのに、とても元気です。
私のおばあちゃん83歳のわりに、とても元気です。

My grandmother is very energetic despite being 83 years old.
An 83-year old person would not do much exercise but even though my grandmother is 83 years old, she walks around and exercises every single day!

彼は全然勉強していなかったわりには、テストの点が良かったです。
He didn't study at all, but he had a better test score than expected.

プログラマーの仕事は大変なわりには、給料が低いのでフリーランスになる人も増えている。
Although the work of programmers is difficult, the salary is lower than what they would expect, so more and more people are becoming freelancers.

彼は風邪のわりに、食欲もあるし、歩き回っているし、元気そうだね。
Even with the cold, he looks better than expected as he has an appetite and is walking around.

彼女はラーメンを5杯も食べるなんて、細いわりによく食べるんだね。
She eats five bowls of ramen, yet she is skinny and eats a lot more than expected.

そのわりに
It refers to a previously mentioned statement. It is used in a contradictory conjunction sentence such as

～が、そのわりに
～けど、そのわりに
～にもかかわらず、そのわりに

ダイエットは大変な努力が必要だが、そのわりに成果は少ないです。
Dieting takes up so much effort yet has little results.

彼は可愛い彼女がいるにもかかわらず、そのわりには幸せそうではありません。
Although he has a cute girlfriend, he does not look happy.
