Day 15 - Armenteira to Punta Arenas

We did 9.5 miles today! We did the downhill from the top of the mountain, at the monastery. Only the first 1.3 miles were somewhat challenging, but oh, so lovely, on the trail of rocks and water. After that, it was pretty flat, through vineyards, quiet paths, tranquil scenes, all along the gurgling river! Total time was about 6.5 hours, including breaks and a lunch stop. Only 3 more days left!

Tonight Penny’s son met us at the hotel, and we are the only three staying here tonight. Dinner here was lovely, again. Tomorrow Scott starts at the top of the mountain where we did, and walks about 16 miles, to where Penny and I end up tomorrow (a double stage for him). We walk 7 miles. Then we walk the last two days together. We think he might catch up with us tomorrow, as he’s a fast walker. Stay tuned!!
