By this time Wat Lao Buddaharam Lao New Year Celebration is full with people. Many were eating, chatting, and just walking around to check out the scenery. There was a surprise appearance from the Lao artists (Thinlamphone, Aiila, MD, Nutdao, Sophana, Big Yai and T‘Jame Uno) that are currently traveling with the Sabaidee Fest Tour. Word had gotten to me that they were coming but at that time it seemed incredulous cause they had just performed at the Pechanga Casino the previous night so, them coming down to San Diego seemed far-fetched. I‘m glad that I was wrong. They took time off their busy schedule to stop by to meet and greet us, sign shirts, take pictures and chat with everyone. They had never been to America before and are definitely enjoying their time here. Unfortunately, one of my favorite artist, Zamio P, had to return home early due to prior engagements. He went home to perform on stage. Maybe next time I‘ll be able to meet him in person. Zamio P is also back home working on projects to complete his upcoming album. Woohoo! I can‘t hardly wait! Get it done very quickly, Zamio P.

Back to the artists. They all were very polite. I had gotten interviews with all of them except Thinlamphone. I was busy walking around but how could I forgrt to interview her? She is also one of my favorite artists, and one of the initial songs that got me listening really well was the “All Day All Night” song with her and Zamio P. If you haven‘t listened to it yet give it a try. Many people, including myself, love this song. I also got to meet and greet Sao Tui. If you‘ve been paying attention to the Sabaidee Fest you‘ll definitely know who she is. She is a lone-traveler, in her own words, that has been live-streaming for us to enjoy. Whether it is just hanging around the house where they‘re resting, going out or at the concerts she‘d go live for us yo see. Thank you much, Sao Tui. If you‘re not familiar with the Lao language “Sao” means “Miss”. You‘re welcome. Anyhow, the artists stay wasn‘t very long cause they had to go back to rest. They‘re all still on tour. By the time this video comes out they‘ll probably already be performing in Texas, which is this weekend. Go support and check out these young artists that have traveled far, literally the other side of the globe, to come to America to perform. Another big shoutout goes to Salong Namsa. He is the mastermind, creator of the Sabaidee Fest. Thank you, Salong. For all the years I‘ve been in America there has never, I repeat never, been any event where performers from Laos, Thailand and America coming together to perform. Wherever these artists are going they're selling out. They‘re loved wherever they go. Their efforts are paying off. It is great to see the younger generation doing well and is uplifting everyone.
