Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Ware, Welwyn, Harpenden & Denham Golf Club (06-07-2020)

If you are not a fan of Class 317s then the first half of this video is not for you! Greater Anglia will be replacing their fleet of Class 317s in the near future and so this is one of the last opportunities to see them in full dominance before the new units come on stream.

Starting at a foot crossing near Theobolds Grove we have a pair of Class 315 units followed by a pair of Class 317s on an E.C.S to Hertford East.

We then visit the Cheshunt and Broxbourne areas before heading onto the Hertford East line, again seeing plenty of Class 317 units.

We then move west and visit the ECML inbetween Welwyn North and Welwyn South Tunnels, we are lucky to see 2 Class 91 operated services, a far cry from a year ago when almost all the LNER service were operated by either HSTs or Class 91s.

On the Midland Main Line, at Ayres End Lane near Harpenden, we only see one HST (a former LNER pair of power cars on EMR stock!) and then we conclude briefly at Denham Golf Club on the Chiltern Main Line.
