Thames Valley (30-06-2021)

Our second video of 2021 takes us into the Thames Valley once more. We have an array of Class 165 Thames Turbos units, which should eventually give way to Class 769 units and we have the usual amount of freight traffic too. There is also a Class 47, 47813, running light loco from Southall to Westbury and Class 317, 317888, heads off to Sims Metals in Newport behind a Class 66.

Also of note are C2C Class 387 EMUs which have been drafted in to help GWR due to issues with their Class 800/802 units. These are working local services from Reading to Newbury.

We visit the tiny station of Combe, with is served by just one train either way per day and we conclude at Culham with a pair of Class 47s, 47593 & 47614, storming through with a charter from Paignton to Wolverhampton.
