Описание к видео Exploring Clubmoor Railway Station site - abandoned disused closed - Liverpool Loopline Southport

Clubmoor Station was located within the Norris Green area of Liverpool and was open between 1927 and 1960. It was opened by the Cheshire Lines Railway and was served by trains running from Southport to Manchester / Liverpool/ Warrington.

It was built to serve the growing suburbs of the city, however because it did not have a very direct route into Liverpool it never really became popular with commuters, hence it's early closure.

The station closed in 1960 with the line remaining open for freight until 1975. It was turned into the Liverpool Loopline footpath in the 1980s.

Relics at the site include degrading platforms, fence posts, entrances, walls and road bridge.

Video filmed 30 October 2022.
