Help!! Can I ever stop my dog from chasing cats?

In this clip here, Jamie Penrith takes a dog with a high prey drive who loves to chase other animals and demonstrates how it is possible to teach the dog not to chase by using the SIT command and/or the STOP whistle.

This video is not a step-by-step for the training the SIT under high temptation. it is simply an opportunity to see another way of effectively controlling your dogs prey drive.

Jamie explains (and demonstrates) how controlling a dog who loves to chase other animals by using commands and obedience does NOT make that dog no longer want to chase moving animals! What it DOES do is give you control over when the dog is permitted to chase and when it is not.
