Here we see a rescue dog, a former Greek hunting dog imported into the U.K. as so many are.
What you have to understand with dogs like this, is that they were bred for a specific purpose - to hunt - to identify, chase (and often immobilise or kill) prey.
If you are not prepared to accept this reality and are looking for a cosy fireside companion, neither a former hunting European import nor a hunting breed with a strong work ethic is right for you.
This video gives a beautiful example of what can be achieved by a responsible dog owner, using the right approach to train such a dog and create a mutually enjoyable, safe and responsible life for one another AND other animals!
